Job Description: Children and Young People Worker, Lincolnshire/Cambridgeshire

Join a dynamic team working in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council to deliver the Leaving Care Service for young people aged 16-25. We are expanding our team in response to new funding from the DFE for the 'Staying Close' initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Staying Connected Wellbeing Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting young people aged 16-18 through the Staying Close initiative. Your responsibilities will include:

- Undertaking direct work with Children in Care and Care Experienced Young People.
- Collaborating with partner agencies specializing in housing provision, mental health support, and substance dependency.
- Creating bespoke support packages to enhance young people's confidence and skills for independent living.
- Providing targeted support where required, recognizing and responding to safeguarding issues.

Qualifications and Skills: Children and Young People Worker, Lincolnshire/Cambridgeshire

To excel in this role, you should have:

- Essential: Experience working with Looked after Children and Care Leavers, and a good understanding of statutory requirements.
- Desirable: Experience in helping young people achieve personal aims, familiarity with the Signs of Safety program, and experience in partnership working.
- Essential: Knowledge of working with young people who have experienced trauma and the ability to identify safeguarding issues.
- Desirable: Experience working alongside other professionals and good IT skills for effective case recording.
- Excellent communication skills: Both verbal and written, to effectively interact with young people and collaborate with professionals.

- The role involves travel across the region, and a full driving license is essential.
