We are looking for an Electrical Services Team Lead to join our Technical Services Team in Aberdeen, UK.

The main purpose of the role responsibility for the UK and India based Electrical Teams comprising engineering personnel at levels including Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer, Engineer and Trainee Engineer. Reporting directly to the Electrical Services Manager, the position will demand close liaison with client-facing support teams (typically comprising Contract Managers, Account Manager, Contract Support Engineers, Project Managers etc.) in order to ensure that enquiries and projects generated via the contract (or other ad-hoc work) is allocated and processed within the Electrical team, prioritisation and sharing of workload will be performed in conjunction with the contract team, and where appropriate, the Electrical Services Manager and Head of Engineering.

The incumbent will support regional Engineering Teams in ensuring that personnel are allocated accordingly as per Project Work Requests.

The position will require working closely with the Electrical Services Manager for the development of people, process and procedures.

**Main responsibilities**

**Enquiry preparation**

The position entails the successful management, co-ordination, allocation and control of manpower who will be required to process Engineering enquiries in accordance with Company procedures and guidelines.
Enquiries will be received via contract teams, sales teams and other sources.

This will require participation with and guiding team members in the following stages:

- Development of Scopes of Work
- Production of Execution Plans
- Production of Work Breakdown Structure
- Estimating, CTR Production
- Proposal Formatting and Collation
- Submission Review and Approval

**Liaison**
- It is required that appropriate dialogue is maintained with our specialist areas within the organisation, such as design, Fluid Power, FMECA, TA’s and MC personnel.

**Project activity**
- The position necessitates the co-ordination, planning and prioritisation of the projects undertaken by the Electrical Team in accordance with Company procedures and guidelines. Projects will be received via contract teams, Sales teams and other sources. The project activity relates to those projects/work scopes processed by the assigned Electrical Team.
- Administration of assigned project files.
- Liaison with clients and subcontractors.
- Checking and/or approval of calculations and work procedures as required.
- Project Planning and management.
- Financial tracking as required.
- Design / technical reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and assist in mentoring of Project Engineers and developing Engineers.
- The incumbent must adopt a co-operative attitude towards being assigned alternative and additional duties to that which they are primarily employed.

**Personnel**
- It is expected that the incumbent will demonstrate leadership and promote training and development of subordinates. In this respect he / she is required to lead innovation and to initiate continuous improvement in a people business.
- The role will entail periodic appraisal of engineers within the assigned Electrical Project Teams. The incumbent will be responsible for appraising developing and trainee Engineers within the team.
- The incumbent will have an active functional reporting line between all electrical disciplined personnel assisting in professional development and ensuring electrical standards are maintained.
- The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the Electrical Project Teams are at an optimum manning level to meet business demands and will therefore play an active role in the recruitment process for electrical personnel.

**Meetings and Reporting**
- In line with Company systems the position requires the organisation of activity reviews based on Project plans and subsequent prioritisation and the participation in the weekly Engineering Team Lead meeting.

- Electrical Services Manager
- Team Leader
- Senior Project / Electrical / Automation Engineers
- Project / Electrical / Automation Engineers
- Engineers/Trainee Engineers
- Engineering Assistants

**Liaison**
- It is required that appropriate dialogue is maintained with all specialist areas in the organisation (such as Design, Hydraulics & Integrity/FMECA teams).
