Can you provide project support within Lancashire County Council's Capital Programme Team?

In Lancashire there are 12 schools currently under these contracts.

This role will:

- Play a pivotal role in the management of the PFI contracts for the County Council and contribute to the overall contract management function.
- Provide technical and financial support on issues relating to the financial management and contractual matters associated with the School PFI contracts and the wider school and non-school portfolio
- Assist the County Council in achieving the outcomes required to ensure that the PFI contracts are delivering value for money and meeting the contractual expectations.
- Provide project support within the wider Capital Programme Team to deliver service objectives

The successful applicant will have experience of coordinating complex projects and working with a range of different service areas to meet challenging deadlines and collate the detailed information required to deliver desired outcomes

The post holder will also encourage productive working relationships across internal teams and with external stakeholders, working independently and as part of the broader team providing advice and support to a wide-ranging client base.

Communication skills are important as the role holder will be interacting with internal and external customers regularly. They must be able to use judgment to deal with daily unforeseen problems with limited guidance, within established contractual procedures.

This is an essential car user post; you will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. In certain circumstances consideration may be given to applicants who, as a consequence of a disability, are unable to drive.
