**Overview**:
Healthy communities need a healthy planet, and to help fulfil our ambitious product sustainability strategy an exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Boots product delivery team.
Reporting into the Head of Product Sustainability for Boots, we’re looking for a science graduate, with a passion for the environment and looking for a career in sustainability.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supporting Boots commitment to get to Net Zero, with a new service provider to develop objectives for product teams & suppliers to decarbonise.
- Ensuring our Boots product offer reflects the diverse customers and communities we serve, by helping to design a ‘Principles for Inclusive Product Design and Development Guide’. To then support a training programme to build understanding and upskill relevant teams on these principles.
- Supporting the business to ensure compliance with external reporting, both statutory and voluntary, including packaging, waste electrical, batteries and food waste.
- Working with 3rd party partners and internal teams, to ensure submissions are uploaded on time, are accurate and follow a programme of continuous improvement.

**What you’ll need to have**:

- Essential that you have a passion and understanding of the environment, the challenges the world faces and a real desire to make change happen.
- You will have a scientific degree or relevant qualification.
- Have excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively and work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
- Good visual and verbal communicator, making complex data/concepts concise and easy to understand.
- Solution driven, able to switch from detailed work to large collaborative projects.
- Tenacious and resilient, able to operate within a fast-paced and ever evolving environment.

**It would be great if you also have**:

- Experience in an environmental role, product and/or packaging development, regulatory, quality, or safety.

**Hybrid Working (3 set days in the office)**

We offer our Support Office team members a 3/2 hybrid working approach, based upon empowerment, accountability, care, and trust, which includes a mix of remote and office-based working - our set office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and WFH days are Monday and Friday.
