We are seeking a Research Fellow to undertake research tasks for an evaluation of Standard Teen Triple P for parents/carers of adolescents at the ‘edge of care’. The research fellow will be the lead research project staff member based in CEDAR and will work in collaboration with partners while supporting the work of CEDAR to develop and enhance its reputation, both internally and externally.

The study is funded by the Youth Endowment Fund and is a collaboration between the University of Warwick and Triple P UK. The study’s primary objective is to evaluate the efficacy of Standard Teen Triple P for parents/carers of adolescents who are at risk of being placed in out of home care (‘edge of care’). The implementation of Standard Teen Triple P will be managed by Triple P UK, and intervention will be delivered by Local Authorities. The University of Warwick (CEDAR) is responsible for the research evaluation.

You will have a good (2:1 or 1st class) degree and/or Master’s degree in psychology/health or social care, have completed or be close to completing a PhD in Psychology/health or social care (or have equivalent research experience) with a good understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods, ideally experience of Randomised Controlled Trials, and a strong commitment to working in partnership with all stakeholders.

You will be based at the University of Warwick, but the role may involve some travel, potentially throughout the UK.

If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure (£31,411). Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£32,348).

**JOB PURPOSE**

Undertaking research duties (participant recruitment, data collection, including interviewing, study management) for the study and working with study partners. Report-writing, and peer review journal publication. Preparing study documents, managing the Study Master File in CEDAR. Training and supervision of additional data collection staff and liaising with sites. Supporting the work of CEDAR to develop and enhance its reputation, both internally and externally. You may also contribute to other research-related tasks in CEDAR and contribute to departmental meetings.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Carry out research tasks for the study (recruitment of families, checking study eligibility, data collection, data analysis, study management)
- Collect data and maintain data records
- Continue to update knowledge and develop skills.
- Follow all study protocol requirements and procedures
- To contribute to or take a lead in (as appropriate) the process of dissemination of project findings through the preparation of project reports, publications for peer
- review academic journals, and contributing to oral dissemination at seminars and conferences.

**Administration and Other Activities**
- Provide day-to-day management of the project and any other staff as required
- To take a lead role in data collection and train, and supervise any other staff who will assist with this role
- Contribute to the administration of the study as required (e.g., arranging meetings for data collection, collecting data, attending project meetings, potentially chairing some research team meetings)
- Maintain the Study Master File and assist sites with the maintenance of site files
- Work in collaboration with the intervention delivery teams at sites (Local Authorities)
- Liaise directly with study recruitment and delivery organisations (Local Authorities)
- Work in partnership with project advisors and stakeholders
- Participate in department life and may be required to attend departmental meetings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety in all aspects of work.
- Work within budget constraints.
- Undertake any other necessary tasks for the successful completion of CEDAR research projects on time and to a high quality
