Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant

**Purpose of the role**:The Pharmacy Dispenser will work under the direct supervision of the pharmacist and will carry out day to day activities connected with the preparation and supply of medicines.Main responsibilities:
- To work as part of a team offering high standards of service and customer care, from a welcoming and professional pharmacy.
- To select, label and dispense correct items in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
- To maintain high standards of pharmacy appearance, through effective merchandising and housekeeping.
- To follow company security and cash handling procedures.
- To follow company Health & Safety procedures.
- To complete any training required by the company to ensure a high degree of customer service.
- To maintain high standards of personal appearance and adhere to company dress code.
- To work as part of a team, to develop the profitability of the pharmacy.
- Respect confidentiality of information concerning customers in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
- To assist with the preparation of monitored dosage box systems as required
- To order, check in, and put away goods as required and to perform date checking from time to time to minimise waste.
- To liaise with surgeries and patients which may be face to face or over the phone as required to ensure a high quality of patient care.

**Job Type / Category**
Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm with a 60 minute lunch break, occasional Saturdays 9am to 1pm.
