If the answer is yes, Sulis Hospital have opportunity for a Deputy Lead Nurse to join our Pre-operative assessment Clinic (PAC) team. The PAC unit is a busy, fast paced service that underpins the whole patient journey for elective procedures and surgery. We are passionate about delivering a safe and excellent service for our patients and consultants and are continuously improving our service and developing our excellent staff.

You will deputise for the PAC Lead, contributing to the achievement of the aims and objectives of the PAC unit.

Supporting the PAC lead to manage the accurate and safe preparation of all patients for their various procedures within the hospital you will use your skills to ensure there is an efficient and effective nursing and ancillary team, using appropriate processes of assessment and care.

The skills we would expect you to bring are the ability to work under pressure and have great organisational skills. Good communication & team skills with ability to coach peers and junior staff with confidence and calmness. Be good at problem solving and be able to make safe decisions with support of the Unit Lead.

If you have NMC registration, demonstrable record of CPD with relevant experience then we would like to hear from you.

Full-time 37.5 hours

Core Hours Flexible Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm.

Occasional Saturday early shift 8-4.
