We are looking for a Night Porter to join our team, the individual must have great customer service skills & be reliable to work on their own as well as with others & carry out their duties as listed below. The role may also include running the end of day and closing the day down.

Hours will be 23:00 - 07:00 & will include weekends.
- Serve food and beverages as required in either room, or public areas.
- Ensuring the security of the building, undertaking of security and fire checks throughout the night.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the food and bar areas, removing dirty glasses, ashtrays, etc.
- Maintaining cleanliness of front lobby areas and public toilets at all times.
- Providing front desk assistance for any enquiries or problems, assisting with luggage, and programming morning calls where necessary. Ensuring newspapers are delivered to guests promptly and correctly.
- Being familiar with the fire and emergency alarm systems and ensure the safe evacuation of hotel guests, staff and contractors, in the event of a Fire Alarm, following the Fire Evacuation procedures.
- Ensuring all servicing, vacuuming where necessary and setting of meeting rooms, including equipment, has been completed as per function sheet.
- Report any faults or shortfalls in equipment, etc. to the C&B office/Head Porter, as appropriate.
- Projecting a smart and professional image at all times by adhering to the rules and regarding grooming, wearing of uniform and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene.
- To carry out any other reasonable request made by management and hotel guests to the best of their ability.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour
