**About the role**:
**On a daily basis you’ll be responsible for**:
**This role will also be responsible for ensuring both our suppliers & production processes meet the company’s quality, technical and health & safety standards. You will lead and promote all continuous improvement activities, developing and maintaining the Operational quality performance.**

**On a daily basis you’ll have the opportunity to;**
- **Lead & develop the quality function of Quality leaders, SQA Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Improvers to meet customer, internal requirements, and expectations.**
- **Deputise for UK H&SE & Quality Director as required.**
- **Maintain key Performance Indicators for the Quality function for reporting, ensuring all productivity and quality performance issues are managed and documented with appropriate corrective actions implemented.**
- **To drive improvement at suppliers across the UK, improving capability**
- **Compliance to Group audit schedule at suppliers and to UK businesses; adjusting frequency to suit business needs**
- **Managing the supplier quality team (organised by commodity type) to meaningfully interact with suppliers for prompt 8D closure, resolution of problems and foster team work**
- **Manage audits and visit schedules for auditors.**
- **Improve relationships and knowledge of suppliers and decision-making processes within, maintain annually updated profiles (size, profile, issues, leaders, concerns, etc.)**
- **Issue prompt visit reports onto shared directory accessible by Procurement/ Exec/ Group**
- **Challenge the status quo and promotes best practice & development**
- **Be the key interface between the customer and the site for raised quality concerns, incidents and developing of effective relationships with our customers.**
- **Collaborate with R&D department during the NPD stages of industrialization through to production and manage all change control and line validation processes.**
- **Participate in product development processes to increase efficiency and customer requirement standards.**
- **Ensuring the effective management of CAPA activities to closure of customer and internal issues, including initiating investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, implementation of change controls, in support of effective Corrective and Preventive Actions**
- **To reduce the business COPQ and drive improvements in CI activity using the core toolbox such as Six Sigma and Lean principles**
- **Lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members by effective day to day management of team members (inc. regular one-to-one, professional development, management of sickness absence, disciplinary processes, employee relations management etc.)**
- **Develop process controls at every process stage and in every area of plant & SQA to improve quality of products made and shipped**
- **Influence and work closely with all key stakeholders to ensure the right decisions are made from the outset**
- **Control and management of all blocked stock, rework, and products on hold in plant facilities**
- **Management and control of gauge calibration**
