The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role as part of NHS Scotland. NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better care working in partnership. We do this by providing a range of specialized support services that enable NHS boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care. Suitable applicants are invited to join a hard-working team in Blood Bank / Immunohaematology sections of the Transfusion Centre.

**The Post**:
We are currently seeking to recruit a Healthcare (Biomedical) Support Worker to work within our Transfusion Laboratory; you will be trained to carry out a range of general duties to provide vital support for the Specialist Biomedical Scientists in our busy Clinical Laboratory.

Must be computer literate with good keyboard skills. Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm. An enthusiastic Team Player with the ability to multi-task. Excellent communication skills & attention to detail are essential. Previous experience of working in laboratories is not essential.

**Location and Working Pattern**:
Blood Transfusion Centre, Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
Working Pattern; Monday to Friday; 37.5 hours per week.It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
