Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Worker in the Medical High Dependency Unit at Raigmore Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the nursing team in providing high-quality care to critically unwell patients.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist with patient assessments, care planning, and implementation.
  • Participate in handovers and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Excellent care values and a strong sense of team spirit.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a 4-weekly rotational basis from 20:00-00:00 covering 7 days between 2 posts.

Working Arrangements

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
