Our client is a leading engineering bussiness located within the Stroud and Stonehouse area is currently lookign for a manual machinist or Tool maker for a permanant position working Monday to Friday office hours with and early finish on a Friday. The rightcaniddate will have expirence with milling, turning, and grinding.

Key Responsibilities -Machinist
- Set up and operate machines
- Machine to the required specification of the product
- Make correct layout calculations of angles radii location of milled slots, tapers, bores.
- Use precision measuring equipment to check product specification
- Help with the inspection of inwards goods and materials
- Remove and replace broken tooling
- Perform any necessary bench work
- Purchasing any tools needed and maintain tools
- Report any machine breakdown to management
- Follow and all company procedures and roles at all times

Qualifications & Requirements - Machinist
- Minimum two years’ experience as a machinist
- Be able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Minimum of 2 years machine shop experience

What we can offer -Machinist
- 6 months probationary period (permanent role)
- Pay date is 24th of each month - if weekend or BH, then Friday prior
- Annual Salary Review (April)
- Holidays equivalent to 25 days plus Bank Holidays. Can be taken in hours.
