**Role**:Production Planner

**Location**:Southport

**Salary**:£35,000

**Key Tasks**
- **Load Sales orders onto Sage from Proforma invoice data and contract review form.**
- Update the Proforma Sales Invoices with the Sage item numbers.
- Update Sage with the relevant serial numbers
- Management of all paperwork relevant to the Sales order
- Update all Order summary paperwork.
- **Issue and manage the Works orders, including but not limited to contract and sub-contract works orders**
- Allocate stock on all works orders.
- Print packing lists and issue to production
- Create works order packs together with new order summary paperwork.
- Booking all works orders in Sage
- Update the actual labour time with data from the time sheets
- Review all PO’s generated against specific projects, updating costs from free text fields as necessary
- **Creation and maintenance of the BOM’s, routings and management of the item master file for all existing and new parts added to ERP system.**
- Work with Engineering to ensure that all changes and new products have item codes
- Create Item master file for new items and update BOM’s accordingly
- Liaise with Purchasing department for Std Cost, Del time, Min/Max Qty and EOQ
- Maintain locations and other supplier information
- **Completion of Packing Lists and Sales Invoices**
- **Creation and maintenance of the system warehouses, ensuring that the BOM routings are amended accordingly.**
- Maintain the Warehouses on Sage to replicate the ones used in practice, including both internal and external locations.
- Create and manage process for inter-warehouse transfers.
- **Manage and maintain the MRP system including the daily running and review of the MPS report.**
- **Manage the stores function - 1 direct report.**
- **Manage the administration of the Quarterly company-wide stock-take process.**
- Print and run the all necessary sage reporting
- Manage the input process of the count sheets
- Manage the recount and stock-take co-ordination

**Key Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment, capital good would be desirable but not essential.
- Good understanding of MRP and processing works orders.
- Previous responsibility for data management and updating item master files.
- Use of Sage 200 would be an advantage.
- Good use of Microsoft Excel and SharePoint
