**Main Purpose of the Role**

We are looking for a Production Planner to join the team at the Southport site. Reporting to the Planning Manager you will be responsible for the Production Planning activity for the Southport site ensuring effective use is made of human and material resources to meet customer requirements and business targets.

**Main Responsibilities**
- To fully understand the manufacturing business requirements
- Delivery Performance - achieve production plan and work with stakeholders to ensure suppliers meet their delivery requirements
- Processing of Production Orders - releasing to the shopfloor once planned, booking into SAP once complete.
- To analyse and evaluate off target performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner to prevent recurrence
- Management of production material and stock requirements
- Work within budget controls
- Part creation and maintenance of master data in SAP
- Managing aspects of ECN driven changes to structures. Understand and implement the ECN from a Production/Operations perspective.
- Attendance at daily/weekly/monthly Operations meetings
- Resolving and escalating technical issues

**Essential Criteria**:
GCSE (A-C) or equivalent, in Maths & English

Excellent communication skills

Ability to manage multi-function stakeholder

Attention to detail and good organisational skills and ability to deliver

Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative

**Desirable Criteria**:
Experience of working within a Production environment

Strong commercial awareness

Good working knowledge of MS Office packages

Confidence to challenge the status quo and identify the opportunity for improvements to the product, process and people
