**Purpose of the Role**:

- As a standalone Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective planning of production activities to meet customer demands and maximise operational performance.
- Working closely with various departments including customer services, manufacturing, logistics, and procurement, you will be responsible for developing production schedules, optimising inventory levels, and coordinating resources to achieve production targets.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer orders while optimising resource utilisation and minimising lead times.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to gather demand forecasts and prioritise production activities accordingly.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure availability and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Analyse production capacity and identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and components needed for production.
- Communicate production schedules, changes, and updates to relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Identify potential production constraints or bottlenecks and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and minimise disruptions.
- Evaluate production performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Utilise production planning tools to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to production planning and incorporate relevant insights into the operations.

**Qualifications**

You will have a combination of technical qualifications and relevant experience. Preferably, you will have:

- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations management, preferably in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using production planning software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MRP systems, Excel).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data driven decisions.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross functionally and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Problem solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- **Attention to Detail**: Possess strong attention to detail with a meticulous approach to planning and execution. Ability to accurately assess requirements, analyse data, and identify potential issues to ensure precision in production planning activities.

Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
