Asphalt Plant Supervisor

We’re delighted to advertise a new position at our Wickwar Asphalt plant based near Wooton-under-Edge in our South West and South Wales area.

At Breedon we are very ambitious and you’ll be instrumental in supporting our Asphalt Manager in helping us to build our Asphalt business, creating a bright and sustainable future by introducing new products and ideas such as RAP and low temperature asphalt. In this role you’ll assume a greater level of responsibility for managing the plant and leading the team; if you want to build a career and envision yourself in a management role one day, this is the position for you.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As an Asphalt Plant Supervisor you will support the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of the plant. You will support the Asphalt Manager to instil a culture of health and safety best practice by leading in the creation of a culture of SHE continuous improvement. You will also support the maintenance and administration of all files, records, information and documentation to comply with H&S legislation, company procedures, environmental permitting for Forestwood Asphalt.

But its not all administration, you’ll still be getting your hands dirty and working with the team to run the plant, batch asphalt, operate mobile plant and maintain the excellent housekeeping standards we have at Wickwar Asphalt

**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise**:

- Previous experience working in an Asphalt Plant and the ability to batch Asphalt
- IOSH / NEBOSH qualification (advantageous)

You’ll also need to be able to work flexibly across different shift patterns and cover unsociable hours including night work on occasion.

You may also be required to support other operational sites and work from other locations across the business from time to time.
