Apprentice Project Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Apprenticeship Project Officerroles (one to support London Health & Justice Commissioning Team & the other will support the London Violence Reduction Programme). The successful applicants will become part of a dynamic team and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives across the NHS London Health & Justice Team and Violence Reduction Programme.
Alongside gaining hands-on experience in the NHS, the successful applicant will be enrolled in a structured accredited learning programme (delivered virtually) which further develops the technical skills and professional behaviours needed to manage projects effectively in challenging delivery environments. Learners will gain two qualifications upon successful completion: APM PMQ and Level 4 Associate Project Manager.
Applicants must have prior knowledge of administrative procedures and have some experience with data collection and report writing. The Health & Justice Team, London Region is responsible for commissioning healthcare services across the following justice settings in London:
- The seven London adult prisons: HMP Brixton, HMP Thameside, HMP Belmarsh, HMP ISIS, HMP Wandsworth, HMP Wormwood Scrubs, HMP Pentonville
- The London young person’s prison: HM YOI Feltham
- All London Police Custody Suites served by The Metropolitan Police Service, British Transport Police & City of London
- All London Magistrates Courts
- All London Crown Courts
In addition, the team co-commission a number of services with the Mayor’s Office, The Mayor’s Office for Police & Crime, (MOPAC) HMPPS and the Probation Service.
As part of the joint arrangements with MOPAC the team also commissions pan London services for victims of sexual assault and abuse (SARCs) in order to support both victim recovery and improve justice outcomes.
The NHS London Violence Reduction Programme was established in mid-2019 to deliver a coordinated regional health response to violence reduction across the capital. The programme comprises a number of workstreams aiming to mobilise local health systems to support violence reduction and improve wellbeing in our communities.

Please note that the reason for the fixed term of your contract is due to this being an apprentice role, the postholder will be employed alongside a time-limited apprenticeship training programme. The time frame of this post has been structured to align with the training period.
