Role: Senior Software Engineer | Lead Developer
Location: UK Based Only (Hybrid)

**Salary**: £70,000 - £80,000 plus benefits - Pension scheme (employer 6% with employee contributions of 2%) 25 days holiday plus UK public holidays, Life assurance and death in service cover and much more

SF Recruitment has partnered up with a leading digital consultancy-based company who have a 10-year history of delivering AI driven, data & digital solutions for the public sector.
We are on the lookout for multiple Senior level software engineers to join this growing organisation. The role will work in multi-disciplinary teams that build, support & maintain User-Centred digital solutions. You will be a technical expert providing exemplarsoftware engineering practices both internally and to end clients.
My client applies an agile, service design approach to solving problems using a variety of technology platforms to enable change.
The role:

- Act as a Technical SME within the team and produce user-centred software based on business requirements and following best practice
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to explore, design and deliver solutions to client problems
- Create secure, accessible services in a variety of frameworks and languages adhering to best practices and open standards.
- Present new prototypes to internal/external stakeholders in a clear concise manner
- Create solutions following industry best practices and using techniques such as CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
- Develop software solutions in native cloud environments leveraging on services from the likes of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud (GCP)
- Build great relationships with your team and stakeholders
- Involved in the recruitment and on-boarding of other engineers, and support other consultants in their professional development
Skills required:

- A proven track record of software development with significant experience of the full development lifecycle developing user-centred digital solutions
- Extensive experience of developing software solutions using a variety of frameworks and across an array of different programming languages such as Java, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Go, Python, Ruby
or Node with a willingness to learn others
- Practical experience of developing solutions in a cloud environment using platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud including their associated services
- Infrastructure As Code experience - Cloudformation, Terraform or ARM or similar
- Be an advocate for producing re-useable, clean, concise code
- Containerisation experience - Docker or Kubernetes or similar
- Experience of working in an agile environment
- Have experience of or be an advocate for mentoring/coaching and upskilling others
- Previous experience of leading projects/teams
- Consultancy or.GOV sector experience would be highly desirable
