Sandicliffe are expanding our Tachograph Centre in Stapleford. Due to continued success we are recruiting for a Tachograph Centre Apprentice to join our busy team.

A tachograph is a measuring device required in all commercial vehicles ranging from 3.5 tonnes up to the largest HGVs allowed on our roads. It monitors the drivers daily driving time, ensures they have adequate rest breaks, their speed, distance travelled, and the latest Smart Tachographs can periodically pinpoint the vehicle location using GNSS.

We work on vehicles ranging from 3.5 tonne Toyota Hilux all the way up to 150 tonne STGO plated Articulated lorries. We install tachographs in to vans and 4x4s that aren't fitted with them as standard, and most recently we have installed tachographs in to several Porsche Cayennes, an American Imported Ford F550, a stretched Limousine and Mercedes Unimogs that are used by Network Rail and QTS on railway line maintenance. We have customers who come to us from the furthest points in Scotland all the way down to Cornwall, we also ship out tachograph parts to Jersey, the Isle of Man, New Zealand and Africa.

**Your duties will include, but not limited to**:

- Booking in vehicles, diary management
- Assisting Senior Technicians
- Understanding regulations
- Developing Technical Skills
- Learning and training
- Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
- Abide with good health and safety practices and all statutory requirements including company policies

Salary is an apprentice pay rate for the first year. From the second year is NMW for your age group.
