**About the role**:
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Economics at University College London to work on the research project “Econometrics for the Firm”, which is a research project funded by the UKRI Research Frontier Guarantee.
The postholder will work closely with, and under the supervision of the Prinicpal Investigator. The duties will include:
- Conduct research related to the the topic of the project “Econometrics for the Firm”.
- Assisting with the organisation of any conferences held under the project.
- Contributing to the overall academic activities in the Department of Economics.
- As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the postholder.
- The postholder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager or Head of Department/Division.
- The postholder will actively follow UCL policies including Equal Opportunities and Race Equality policies.
- The postholder will maintain an awareness and observation of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.

**About you**:
The Post holder will have:
- A PhD (or pending qualification) in Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Research experience in the development of econometric theory.
- Research experience in the development of network analyses.
- An aptitude and commitment to high quality research.
- Good interpersonal skills and intellectual breadth.
- Commitment to UCL values.
- Working in a team
**What we offer**:
Professor Aureo de Paula, the Principal Investigator, is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to work on the project “Econometrics for the Firm”.
The researcher will be appointed starting September (or later) for two years. The Appointment will be on a full-time basis (1 FTE) UCL salary scale Grade 7, £39,508 - £47,355 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance, dependent upon experience.
The UCL full-time working week totals 36.5 hours. Annual leave is 27 days per year. In addition, staff benefit from six College closure days per year. The person appointed will work at the offices of the Department of Economics, Drayton House, 30 Gordon Street, London WC1H 0AX. The postholder will benefit from interactions with colleagues in the Department of Economics and in UCL more broadly, and at the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
