1. To attend staff meetings, house meetings and office meetings and management meetings

2. To make sure that unit is tidy and clean and all staff are observing a good house
- keeping practice.

3. To read and collate all the daily logs on the system, and update the management of any issue identified.

4. Ensure Staff fill daily logs properly.

5. Ensure weekly and monthly reports are done and sent over to management.

6. To ensure that all paper works are filled properly to YP’s file

7. To prepare YP folder and ensure that there are three spare folders in the unit at any point in time.

8. To send request for stationary Requirement

9. To check files and folders on computer that everything is saved in proper folder

10. To make sure all placement documents are signed at the time of new placement

11. To check GP etc. registration of all YP’s of the unit and all other relevant paper work is completed.

12. To do supervision of staff members regularly

13. To check Sunday meals are cooked regularly

14. To check petty cash and YP Money balance

15. To inform management if any damage and repairs are needed to property and the appropriate paper work is completed.

16. In emergency out of hours call

17. To arrange event and activities for the YP in the unit.

18. To keep a log of stationary and toiletry usage.

19. To monitor telephone calls.

20. To ensure that staff sends telephone call logs regularly

21. To do surprise visits to units

22. To ensure bedrooms are prepared adequately (clean sheets etc.) once young person has vacated the room.

23. Ensure adequate basic items are available in the unit like the bedding cutlery etc.

24. To conduct house meetings monthly with young people and prepare agenda.

25. IT literate

26. knowledge of Children Act 1989 and revised edition 2004

27. Knowledge of the Leaving Care Act 2000.

28. Knowledge of safeguarding issues and working in partnership.

29. To be able to attend meeting e.g. Review meetings placement meetings and any other meeting relevant to young persons in placement.

30. To have the ability to delegate task to staff to ensure the smooth running of the unit.

31. To ensure staff are able to pass down relevant information of young people and are working in line with the companies policies and procedures.

32. To have the ability to Liaise regularly with social services and outside agencies in relation to our clients.

33. To link in with key agencies in the community that will benefit our young people. To also delegate staff to be assigned key task to link with agencies and to oversee this.

34. To ensure Health and Safety policy is complied with.

35. To develop group working with young people in the units.

36. To conduct exit interview and to meet with young people to consult with them re the service they are receiving.

37. To help management to develop service further with new ideas or improved working practices.

38. To help develop the team and staff to work more effectively.

39. To help identify staff training needs.

40. To check First Aid box is up to date and if any item is required, he should contact the head office immediately.

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- South London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
