**Job Title**: Attendance Officer
**Location**: Plumstead, South East
**Salary**:Salary Scale SO1 £29,682 per annum (Actual gross salary)
**Job Type**:35 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term time only plus 2 weeks)

Responsible for Student Attendance Data - both monitoring and reporting. You will be responsible to the Deputy Head Teacher responsible for student attendance.
**Responsibilities include**:
- monitoring school attendance and punctuality throughout the school day,
- generating statistics, reports, and alerts.
- assisting with and participating in the development and review of whole school attendance policies.
- communicating with parents, staff and outside agencies.
- Identifying and working with individuals and groups of students, to manage attendance cases and prepare relevant documentation.
To be successful you will need to have excellent administration skills, experience in the use of computerised Management information systems, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will need excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with parents, students, staff and outside agencies in a sensitive and confidential manner. You will also need an understanding of possible interventions to raise attendance and the potential barriers to high attendance that pupils may face.
You will need to have a good level of education including English and Maths GCSE grade C or above.
Knowledge of Safeguarding policy and commitment to Equal Opportunities will be essential.
