Finance Apprentice

From the steel in our first reinforced bridge in 1903, to railway sensors, we work with government authorities, asset owners, construction companies, and design offices to support their infrastructure projects.

Our systems are found in iconic projects such as The Golden Gate Bridge, Panama Canal, Kap Shui Mun Bridge, and Freedom Tower.

We are looking to hire a Finance Apprentice, t his role is be based from our Bury office with the ability to work hybrid from home from time to time.

K EY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- To work as part of the UK Finance team providing administrative and accounts support to the department.
- Assisting Finance Managers with the Preparation of monthly reconciliations
- Processing transactions including posting entries to the accounting system.
- Sales ledger / purchase ledger / cash book Dealing with customer and supplier queries, by telephone

EXPERIENCE:

- GCSE or equivalent at A-C / 9-4 to enable the apprentice to study at Level 2. Numeracy and literacy must be at a sufficient level to enable the job holder to use basic IT programmes, maintain accurate records, produce basic information reports.
- The job holder is required to be enthusiastic, engage, communicate, and interact with a wide variety of colleagues, providing information in support of their queries/requests.
- Knowledge & skills Previous administrative experience, knowledge of basic office systems and procedures, confident communication skills. Ideally confident with Microsoft Excel
- Most decisions are routine in nature, drawing upon the jobholders existing knowledge and skill level (which will develop further within the role). Complex or serious situations which fall outside of existing procedures are referred to a senior member of staff to address. Additional features the job holder is required to continuously develop their skills through their apprenticeship studies, and professional training provided
