QA Assistant

**QA Assistant**:
To ensure that the appropriate checks are carried out on all raw and finished materials to deliver product which complies to the relevant standards of Food Safety, hygiene, health & safety and production processes comply to the highest standards possible.

**Main Duties**:
Maintain Quality and Procedure Manuals including all material and product specifications, HACCP documents

Check quality and adherence to material specifications and maintain records as required (raw materials, final products, equipment and stock rotation)

Ensure all Food Safety requirements are implemented, maintained and continuously improved, including traceability procedures

Support actions required to achieve and maintain BRC and other accreditations

Support NPD activity as required

Documenting customer complaints and reporting to customers our findings until a satisfactory outcome is achieved.

Monitor, organise and deliver (as appropriate) staff training requirement regarding Food Hygiene etc

**Training and mentoring**: carry out training of others as required in any aspect of their role or as requested.

**Communication**: play a proactive role in formal and informal 2 way written and verbal communication systems and processes

**Education & Qualifications**

Food Science degree/A levels or equivalent experience

**Experience & Knowledge**
