**The Opportunity**:
Nigel Wright has been appointed exclusively to support an established and growing manufacturer of building products that are sold nationwide through plumbers and builders merchants.This is a newly created position due to a successful period of recent growthand a future focus of continued revenue and market share gains.The role will be home / market based and would likely be suitable for someone living between Northampton and Newcastle, to enable nationwide travel across territories.
**Role Profile**:

- Coaching, developing and performance managing a UK wide team of external area sales managers.
- Driving a programme of attendance at relevant exhibitions and industry trade shows.
- Supporting and joining team members in customer meetings and maintaining relevant high level personal customer relationships.
- Engaging with end users, merchants and buying groups as appropriate and leading on any commercial negotiations.
- Reporting pipeline, forecast and sales team performance, upline, to the board.

**Person Specification**:

- Previous building products sector experience with exposure to selling through builders and plumbers merchants.
- Experience of driving high performing external / remote based sales teams.
- Strong coaching and performance management skills.
- Comfortable travelling throughout the UK on a week by week basis.
- The ability to manage high level merchant./ end user / buying group relationships.
