Seven Resourcing is working with Birmingham Children's Trust to recruit Waking Night Officers for their residential homes at Bridgelands.

£14.43 per hour PAYE.
£17.70 per hour Umbrella.

Adhoc shifts with a monthly rota.
Competitive Rates.
Other care homes available but the most shifts are at Bridgelands.
Casual Shifts or more full-tme hours depending on your availability.

The Trust is investing in an exciting new residential provision in Tile Cross Birmingham, a three bedded home for children who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home will provide a up to three placements in an emergency for children 8 to 17years.

As part of Birmingham Childrens Trust the residential service benefit from then partnerships across the trust and work with Social Care Services, Education and Health to provide wholistic services and the best package of care to children.

The provision is Ofsted registered and operate within the legal framework of The Childrens Homes Regulations and The Quality Standards 2015..

**The role**

For this role we are looking for someone who has at least 2 years’ experience of working with children with complex needs. You will need to hold the QCF level 3 or equivalent or be willing to undertake the qualification within 6 months of starting the role.

You with teammates will be responsible for the care of the children at night; this will include Assisting with the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Observing and

reporting, in writing, on the behaviour and care needs of the young people during the night. Working with other agencies to safeguard children, for example reporting children missing to the police, working with the emergency duty team to admit children out of hours.

You will also be expected to undertake some laundry duties and contribute to the general running of the home. You will be expected to undertake a range of training and development this will usually be in the daytime.

**Applicant Requirements**:

- **Qualifications**: Social Care Qualification
- **Experience**: 1. Within the last five years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to residential care of children.

2. For at least 1 year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
3. Experience in working with children and families who present complex needs.
4. Business and management skills to manage the work efficiently and effectively
5. Experience of direct work with children and undertaking assessments of need
6. Financial experience of managing resources within budget limits to ensure the home is run financially soundly, ensuring the long-term financial viability of the home
7. Experience and understanding of undertaking risk assessments and managing risks
- **Compliance**: Up to date Passport and DBS.
- **Travel**: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- **Hours**: Rota shifts
