An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Derbyshire Constabulary’s Safeguarding Co-ordination Hub (SCH).as a SCH Co-ordinator, on a permanent, full-time basis, based at Force Headquarters.

The Safeguarding Co-ordination Hub is key in ensuring a consistent and enhanced service, involving processing and managing the level of risk posed by offenders to adults and children.

You will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of work within the Unit which covers aspects of domestic abuse, child abuse and safeguarding adults. This will include assessing levels of risk, monitoring workloads and quality assurance and report findings. You will be required to co-ordinate staff inductions and participate in training and mentoring.

You will be required to make decisions regarding the level of risk and document your findings and become involved in the disclosure process for providing partner agencies with confidential data regarding vulnerable children, adults and domestic abuse.

By joining the SCH as the Co-ordinator, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience, and play a vital role in making a difference to the lives of vulnerable residents of Derbyshire.

Due to the nature of the role, a flexibility around working hours and location, with a willingness to travel will be required.

You will have the ability to be versatile and deal with delicate situations within the role as these units are required to process information relating to children and adults, which may be of an upsetting and/or distressing nature. This post will require you to undertake mandatory counselling appointments.
