The post holder will lead the PEF/Care Home Education Facilitator (CHEF) service, ensuring fitness for purpose in line with national direction and local need to support and enhance the quality of practice learning environment. You will provide leadership and strategic direction to effectively support the maximum number of student/learners within quality learning environments which advocate NHS Education for Scotland Quality Standards for Practice Learning and promote education and lifelong learning as integral to clinical practice as well as work in collaboration with identified stakeholders to facilitate and evaluate the ongoing professional development of Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (NMAHP) Health Care Support Workers (HCSW), pre and post registration nurses enabling necessary changes to be implemented to support future workforce requirements.

The following knowledge, training and/or experience is required for the jon:

- First level Registered Nurse/Midwife with experience of working at a senior level
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level
- Teaching qualification and experience
- Expert practice in the role of PEF/CHEF with experience and evidence of relevant continued professional development/qualification
- Specialist professional knowledge of practice supervision, assessment, education and practice development
- Evidence of leadership skills
- Excellent team working skills, with the ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing, facilitating and conflict resolution.
