**About the role**:
This hybrid role is based in Brighton & Hove. Applicants will need to be able to meet regularly with clients and staff where required, and to attend the Brighton office for team meetings, training sessions and other requirements as they arise. There is a mandatory office attendance requirement with a minimum of 1 day a week.

As a Team Leader you will:

- Be responsible for line managing operational team members, which includes recruitment, induction, performance management, supervision and monitoring.
- Be responsible for ensuring the consistent and high quality delivery of services to survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring staff members are effectively assessing risk and meeting identified needs.
- Hold operational lead responsibility for internal processes and lead areas
- Attend the MARAC as a representative of Victim Support
- Oversee daily triage and case allocation functions, ensuring survivors are receiving appropriate and timely support
- Oversee coordination and capturing of data to ensure the work of the service delivery team is outcome-based and evidenced
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally with local partnerships, agencies and stakeholders
- Provide operational staff duties where required, which can include providing support and safety planning to referred clients, answering the Helpline, attending drop-in sessions or delivering training.

**You will need**:

- An excellent and thorough understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on survivors and their children and the legal and practical remedies available
- A proven track record of managing a team delivering services of similar nature and scope, including supervision, performance management and staff development.
- Experience of working collaboratively with voluntary and statutory agencies
- The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of people, advocating for survivors and motiving and influencing others
- The ability to think logically and plan methodically for operational effectiveness
- Excellent crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations in a calm and methodical manner
- A solution focused approach to remedying service development needs and creating opportunities for growth
- Ability to manage individual projects and take the lead role on areas of service delivery
