**As a care assistant you will be expected to**:
- To deliver hands on care to residents in a person centered way while assist clients with personal care tasks.
- Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, re-positioning and movement of clients.
- Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life and encourage participate in social and recreational activities.

- Act in accordance with the General Social Care Councils Code of Conduct
- Promote the good reputation of the home at all times.
- Observe, monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
- Carry out all duties in a safe manner showing regard to the health, safety and welfare of self, colleagues, patients and visitors to the home
**The Ideal care assistant will**:
- A friendly approach and the ability to put residents at ease, whatever their physical or social needs
- Delivery of care in a residential/Nursing setting.
- A good knowledge of basic health care and hygiene standards
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team
- Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence
