**Group Accountant - Leading FMCG Business**

**6+ Months Contract (Remote/hybrid working, Inside IR35)**

**We’re recruiting on behalf of a £150m+, PE owned entrepreneurial business, operating in the food manufacturing, wholesale and retail sectors.**

**What you’ll be doing**:
**As Group Accountant, you’ll report directly to the Finance Manager and take ownership of the Group and subsidiary statutory accounts. Additionally, you will assist with year end audit, providing guidance around statutory accounting for the Group, togetherwith offering practical accounting advice for new standards and updates.**

**Have you recently completed an internal audit? Are you a fully qualified Accountant with excellent Group accounting knowledge? Are you fully versed with year end/statutory accounting? Can you hit the ground running in a fast paced retail/manufacturingenvironment?**

**What we need you to bring to the business**:

- **Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA)**:

- **Strong Excel skills**:

- **Experience of producing statutory accounts (essential)**:

- **Recent audit experience**:

- **Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)**:

- **Willingness to take initiative and be proactive**:

- **Experience with accounting software**:

- **Highly organised, able to meet deadlines and able to work on their own initiative**:

- **Team player**:

- **Able to work with all levels in the business and able to demonstrate an ability to build relationships outside of the immediate finance department**
