Phoenix Pathology is part of Phoenix Hospital Group and we are looking for an enthusiastic, fast learner and highly motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) to join our private laboratory based at 25 Harley Street.
- Sample reception/ booking in, labelling, and centrifugation
- Sample referrals to partner laboratories
- Sample pick up from neighbouring clinics
- Analyser maintenance and simple troubleshooting
- Running quality control in the analysers
- Running patient samples
- Entering data in the Laboratory Management Information System (LIMS)
- Scanning and archiving documents
- Constantly monitoring stock levels and performing weekly stocktakes
- Receiving stock and ensuring they are stored as per temperature requirements
- Audits
- Any other tasks required to deliver a safe and effective pathology service

**Requirements**:

- Strong IT skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (mandatory)
- Science related degree is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Some experience working in central specimen reception or blood sciences laboratory with Sysmex and Abbott analysers would be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills
