Working within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, co-ordinating and undertaking caseload management of own group of patients and making professionally autonomous decision with the support of medics as needed. You may be required to work in different areas of the Emergency Department to meet the needs of your caseload (resus, majors, paeds).

At the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, our vision is “Working together to provide outstanding care for our community”.

Central to achieving this vision is working in partnership with patients, colleagues across health and social care and other organisations who share the same values, to support people in our community. It is a challenging time to be working in the NHS but the dedication of our staff means we are in a strong position.

Services at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust have recently been rated as “Good” by the Care Quality Commission.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and experienced Registered Nurse/AHCP who possess the relevant qualifications and experience enabling him/her to work at an advanced level beyond normal professional boundaries.

We are an ever-evolving unit within the main Emergency Department, with a focus on minor injuries and minor illness in both adult and paediatric patients. You would be part of an amazing team comprising of advanced practitioners, triage nurses, a practice educator, admin team and associate specialist Drs providing highly skilled care to this patient group.

In return we are passionate about ongoing education and offer in-depth internal/external development opportunities and support for career progression.
