Work From Home (but must be based in/around Newport)
£25,000-£30,000 per annum
Our client is a global events business and an industry expert. They have been established for over 20 years and, due to their continued success, are still developing and growing.
Our client is based in London, but as the Financial Controller is Newport-based they are building the team here, with the role predominantly being a work from home opportunity.
You will meet with the Financial Controller in Newport 2-4 times a month during training, and will need to be flexible to travel to London for occasional trips to the Head Office.
Although core business hours are 10am - 6pm, true flexibility is available as long as tasks are completed on time.
Key responsibilities:
- Day-to-day transactional processing (multi-currency)
- Match supplier invoices against purchase orders
- Setup client and supplier accounts in Procim & Sage
- Assist to prepare supplier payment runs and immediately notify the FC of urgent requests
- Review source documents and ensure compliance with HMRC
- Review credit card transactions, update XE & VAT rates where applicable
- Coding Directors expenses
- Assist to allocate suppler payments and customer receipts in Sage
About You:
- Book-keeping and data entry experience
- Software Sage line 50 (ideal but not essential)
- Highly numerate
- Able to learn new skills, systems and tasks
- Can manage and prioritise workload
- Computer literate, particularly with Excel spreadsheets
- Self-Driven, proactive, and flexible
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Enthusiastic and reliable
