Cook Band 3

**Job Duties**
- To be responsible for preparation, cooking, despatch and serving of all meals, in all associated areas to the agreed menus and standards.
- To cater for any dietary requirements and special functions as the need may arise.
- To ensure that the food is cooked and stored in hygienic conditions.
- Responsible for maintaining records of food temperatures, cold rooms and deep freeze units.
- To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and hygienic catering practices are maintained at all times as laid down within the Trust’s Hygiene and Pest Control Policy.
- To undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

**Essential Criteria**
- Ability to work shifts: Mornings, Evenings and Weekends (as applicable).
- Willingness to complete Level 2 CIEH Food Safety Certificate

**Desirable Criteria**
- 6 months’ experience in a similar role
- Level 2 Food Safety Qualification (or equivalent)

**Further Information**
- Shifts include but are not limited to; 7.30am-3.30pm, 9am-5pm & 1.30pm-7pm
- Immediate start available

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: £10.37-£18.97 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Magherafelt, County Londonderry: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
