Warehouse Assistant

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks relating to the efficient operation of our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving and organising incoming shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing orders for shipment, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse.
To be considered for this role you must be able to work daily from our site in Melton, East Yorkshire and have full UK working status, (unfortunately at this time MS3 are unable to offer visa sponsorship) and hold a valid FLT license.
**Responsibilities**:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices.
- Organise received items in designated storage areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock counts.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, labelling, and staging items appropriately.
- Assist in loading/unloading trucks or containers as needed.
- Ensure that all outgoing shipments are properly packaged to prevent damage during transit.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfil orders accurately and efficiently.
- Always maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling equipment or operating machinery.
**Essential Skills**:
- Proven experience working in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively both independently as well as part of a team.
- Forklift truck licence required, ideally Bendi/Flexi but Counter Balance and Reach considered as conversion available.
If you are familiar with handheld inventory management systems too that would be a bonus.
