Brewers are a fourth-generation family business, we lead the UK marketplace supplying decorating materials to both trade and retail decorators and due to continued success and expansion, we have a new and exciting opportunity for a Painting & Decorating Trainer to join our Brewers Learning and Development team.

Our Painting & Decorating Trainer will play a vital part in the success of our Decorators Academy, who’s purpose is to upskill our customers and develop decorators for the future as well as providing support to our central training team with practical training sessions.

You will play a pivotal role by being the point of contact for all technical training specialising in spray equipment and advanced wallcoverings. Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager and working closely with our Group Sector Sales and Category Managers, you will support the business to roll out this new initiative and be a champion not only our own brand, Albany, but all other brands sold across our branch network.

Working with people will be second nature to you so you will be someone who is approachable, with an open and friendly personality. You will also be highly organised and self-motivated, an excellent communicator and be able to naturally build rapport with customers and colleagues at all levels within the business to support with their learning.

This is a multi site role that will require regular attendance at external venues and travel around our branch network so a full driving license and a willingness to travel is essential. Due to the amount of travel involved some overnight stays will be required.

**Some of the responsibilities of a Painting & Decorating Trainer will include**:

- Working with our sales teams and customers to help identify the training needs of customers
- Designing, delivering and evaluating product training courses to customers
- Providing guidance and support to larger customers in the delivery of training for their teams
- Contributing to the design of in-house product training and delivering these product courses to colleagues
- Support the development and growth of our brand Albany by working with the Albany Growth & Development Manager to share any knowledge and feedback from customers
- Attend trade shows and trade days as a Brand Ambassador, including providing practical demonstrations about Albany and other own brand lines with current and prospective customers

**Who we are looking for to join the team**:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a professional Painter & Decorator
- You will have a significant amount of product knowledge in the Painting & Decorating sector, specifically with spray equipment and wallcoverings
- Previous experience developing and leading training sessions would be beneficial but isn’t essential
- Highly organised with the ability plan well and to work to deadlines
- A willingness to support and deliver training sessions both at Head Office and across our branch network
- Excellent people skills - easily builds a rapport with people and puts people at ease
- Passionate about developing others and enabling success
- A clear and confident communicator with excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality
- Driver with a full driving licence is essential
