Overview:

- Supply and Trading (S&T) is the commercial link to the market for Upstream and Downstream & Chemicals (DS&C). S&T applies its knowledge of commodity markets, the crude-to-customer value chain and transportation logistics in the crude, gas, and refined products markets to maximize the value of enterprise assets and enable the commercial success of Upstream and DS&C. S&T buys, sells, and supplies crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and gas liquids to support Chevron's crude and gas production operations and its refining and marketing network.S&T integrates enterprise-wide supply and trading capabilities to capture commercial opportunities across the entire value chain through commercial functional excellence.

Crude Supply and Trading (CSAT) manages the global supply of crude oil for Chevron’s refineries and markets all crude oil from Upstream assets. Our global teams procure, transports, and markets all major crude oil grades and condensates while maximizing the value of Chevron’s Upstream production, always in close collaboration with Chevron Shipping, Pipeline and Power and third parties to transport crudes for internal and external customers around the world.

CSAT is tightly integrated with internal Value Chain Optimization (VCO) organizations and Upstream to capture opportunities across the entire crude-to-customer value chain. The team collects and leverages market intelligence to deliver incremental value and enhanced profitability through strategic arbitrage, storage and third-party trading, balancing the Chevron system and proactively managing changing crude flows to ensure flow assurance.

This position of Crude Trader located in London will be a critical member of the Structure Team having responsibility for significant financial trading targets operating within a global crude operating model. The role will require close collaboration with other structure desks located in Houston and Singapore to deliver earnings through trading a global book.

A key function will be to support the London North Sea, Caspian, West Africa and US Export physical trading teams assisting with Upstream & Downstream system value capture, managing price risk, opportunistic trading goals and implementation of Regional and Global commercial trading strategies.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for managing CSAT teams price exposure relating to the London physical crude portfolio.-
- Requires a strong knowledge of crude markets and their correlation to other energy commodities.-
- Demonstrated understanding of the properties of crude oil, trade flows, pricing, transportation, risk management (price exposure and basis risk) and supply chain economics to assist in developing arbitrage opportunities and strategies to global locations.-
- Ability to identify and execute profitable trading strategies, managing associated price exposure utilizing financial instruments, always with a sharp focus on earnings generation, measurement, and control of associated risks.-
- Demonstrated understanding and utilization of fundamental and technical market analysis to develop strategies to maximise returns.-
- Understands the mechanics of futures exchanges and OTC markets.-
- Must develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships, collaborating closely with other business units, traders, analysts, and schedulers within a global diverse team and with external trading partners and brokers.Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent is required in one of the following fields: Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or Marketing.-
