Are you an experienced Maintenance Operative/Skilled Plumber looking for your next opportunity within an established organisation?

We are looking for a competent Operative to join our on-site Maintenance Team located at our Newhaven HQ.

This is a multisite role (all locations within 1 mile of each other) requiring someone who is able to work shifts: 6.30am to 3pm and 11am to 8pm

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who can work from their initiative and who is self-motivated, able to manage their own work schedule for each day. Whilst immersing themselves into the team, to ensure maintenance requirements are completed as required.

**The Day to Day**

The focus of this role is to ensure that all sites are always maintained to the highest possible standards, both internally & externally.

This is an all-round Maintenance Operative role, with a key focus on carpentry. Some of the responsibilities are include:

- Basic Plumbing.
- Plaster patching, wall and floor tiling
- Moving furniture, as and when required
- General maintenance and upkeep of all areas
- Window cleaning, floor cleaning and vinyl buffing as scheduled.
- Floor vinyl polish removal and re-polishing as scheduled (training will be given)
- Maintenance of yards and gardens
- Maintenance of the recycling unit
- Covering cleaning duties, testing alarms, maintaining vehicles
- Using forklifts and scissor lifts to carry out specific work. Plus much more

**About You...**

Due to some of the functions of this role being of a manual nature, you will need to be physically fit, with a flexible attitude to work, willing to join the team in the more general maintenance aspects of the Estate Maintenance. Ideally you will have thefollowing experience/certifications:

- Educated to GCSE in Math’s & English
- First Aid Qualification
- Full UK Driving License
- Any Qualification in the building trade. E.g., Electrician, plumber, City and guilds or NVQ
- Work experience within a factory environment.
- Experience in driving large transit style vehicles is preferred.
- Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken
