Vision Products is a Supported Employment Business within the Council, based in Pontyclun. Our business ventures are diverse and include a Community Equipment Service, the Production, Manufacture, and Installation of PVCu Windows, Assistive Technology and Servicing of Equipment and our very own Vision Mobility retail outlets.

We have successfully manufactured and installed PVCu windows for a number of years, and we have an opportunity within the PVCu department at Vision Products to bring in a new team member.

We currently have a Part-Time vacancy in our Stores section for a Store-person working an average of 18.5 hours per week over a 2-week rota.

Week 1 (2 days) Thursday and Friday.

Week 2 (3 days) Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The main duties of this role will require you to operate all day-to-day stores procedures, including manual and I.T. systems so experience of working with a range of IT packages is essential.

You will be expected to liaise with suppliers on stock orders including shortages, lead times and alternative products, highlighting any concerns to the Supervisor, so experience of working with customers or suppliers is also essential.

You will work as part of a team, in maintaining and developing procedures and systems, receiving and checking-in all deliveries against relevant paperwork.

Working in a stores warehouse, you will be required to adhere to all H&S policies and procedures ensuring safe systems of work. You will also be required to operate the Forklift truck, for which training will be provided

You will be required to assist with the delivery of materials to site in one of our PVCu fleet of vehicles and to meet the requirements of the post, you will need to have a full clean driving licence.

When required, you will also assist with the preparation of materials, sills and panels which are carried out within our on-site stores and factory facility.
