**Overview**

**Ryedale Auctioneers is an exciting friendly business located with Kirkbymoorside in North Yorkshire. We currently have a position within our team for an experienced Administrator /Accounts Clerk.**

The core of this role is to provide general accounts department support (sales and purchase ledger with some credit control and payroll entry) and administration support to our sales office team.

This role would suit someone who is well versed at multi-tasking, the ability to manage their own time well and work unsupervised. Applicants should have accounts and admin experience, be experienced in Excel and a working knowledge of Xero

The role is based at our auction centre in Kirkbymoorside, hours can be flexible.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Post accounts payable invoices and credit notes
- Reconcile supplier statements to purchase ledger accounts
- Deal with any queries in a timely and accurate fashion
- Process staff expenses and credit card transactions
- Ensure all invoices and credit card statements are reconciled at the close of each month
- Counting and entering cash takings onto Xero
- Bank reconciliations, reconciling and posting sales receipts to the sales ledger.
- Helping process and update payroll records.
- VAT Return
- Balancing tills at the end of each working day
- Providing reception cover
- Supporting the Auction sales team with administrative support

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
