7 months ago

Bristol, United Kingdom University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Are you a Project Officer who is ready to develop your skills with an exciting new opportunity? We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their creativity and ability to put new ideas into practice.

Join Bristol Health Partners Academic Health Science Centre, a dynamic collaboration between the city region's universities, major health and care providers and commissioners, covering the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) area.

Our vision is to unite our excellence in healthcare provision, research and innovation, education and training to deliver healthier lives, through improved prevention of illness and disease and better integration of health and care services. We want our region to be known for:

- Equal and fair access, experience and outcome, by tackling health deprivation and inequalities;
- The excellence of the care we commission and provide, underpinned by cutting-edge research and innovation, education and patient and public involvement.

In this role you will work with health and social care researchers, commissioners, policy makers and members of the public across the Bristol City region. You will collaborate with a range of organisations, including the NHS, universities, local authorities, and voluntary and community sector organisations.

Bristol Health Partners is seeking an individual who has a track record of setting and achieving targets and impact, to take on this varied and rewarding role in supporting our Health Integration Teams (HITs). You will also work alongside another Project Officer to manage the BHP office operations and multi organisational governance, meetings and reporting requirements.

This is an 12-month fixed-term appointment, with potential for extension. We will also consider secondments, where agreement from your current line manager has been secured. This is a full-time role.

The post will be based within the Bristol Health Partners core team and work specifically on providing effective Project Officer support to the Bristol Health Partners core team and HITs. You will use your project management skills to ensure HITs are managed effectively, progressing well against plans and reporting progress.

The post holder will be able to demonstrate project management knowledge and experience along with a proven track record of liaising effectively with a range of stakeholders across various organisations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

We would be particularly interested to hear from you if you have experience of health and care project management, combined with an understanding of race equality and the wider equality, diversity and inclusion perspective.

It is essential that the post holder undertakes the various duties with flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm and operates as an integral part of the BHP core team, as well as our HITs. This may involve the need to work flexibly e.g. at various locations around Bristol with occasional evening meetings.
