**The Role will include the key duties below**:
Provide advice on methodology, ethical approval and developing project protocols

Support staff in the dissemination of their projects, through writing for publication and conference abstracts.

Support the therapy department to deliver on NIHR portfolio studies.

Work with students, academic supervisors and clinicians to encourage team working for successful delivery of projects

Encourage and inspire a culture of evidence base care.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the therapies research strategy with the Senior Therapies Research Lead building on the capacity and capability of staff to deliver projects and specific programs of research to gain sustainable grant funding in collaboration with others, external or internal to the organisation as appropriate.

We are looking for an individual who can positively lead and inspire others, has excellent communication skills and works well within a team. You need to have methodological skills to help develop ideas into translatable projects, attention to detail and knowledge of governance and any ethical issues. You will need to be highly organised and self-motivated to work independently and efficiently.

You will be supported by senior researchers within the department, academic partners at higher education institutions and the research & development team in the trust.

The role may also allow an individual(s) to develop an area of research interest relevant to orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, chronic pain or spinal cord injury rehabilitation. You will work closely with clinicians such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, orthotists, dieticians and speech and language therapists. You will also connect with other clinicians/researchers either within the hospital or externally to encourage collaboration and multidisciplinary research.
