Vascular Theatre Team Lead

The purpose of the Team Leader (TL) position is to provide on-going professional and clinical leadership within the Vascular Theatres Team whilst delivering perioperative care and working collaboratively with the clinicians (surgeon and anaesthetist) as part of the wider multi-professional team.
The TL will be expected to demonstrate clinical expertise and provide specialist knowledge within their clinical speciality; working as a skilled member of the theatre team; providing a high standard of holistic patient centred care within the theatre appropriate to their expertise. Effective communication with all members of the multi-professional team and external agencies is a key part of this role.
The TL will assume the delegated responsibility for managing and leading the delivery of care, in a given shift, for patients entering the TL’s clinical speciality environment. This includes the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation for every individual patient’s programmes of care.
