**A Bit About The Role**
Are you starting out on your career in Health and Safety or looking for the next step? Are you professional and an excellent communicator who is passionate about Health and Safety and influencing change in behaviour and culture?

Working closely with the Head of Group Health and Safety for Retail and Processes and collaboratively with key stakeholders, you will be part of a friendly and dynamic team supporting the Health and Safety of the group.

This field based role will involve
- Providing professional advice and support to circa 200 Retail Stores
- Raising awareness of risk and providing the Head of Group Health and Safety for Retail and Processes with assurance that the management framework of Health and Safety is effective
- Ensuring compliance and company best practice regarding Health and Safety issues and effectively following up on external audits, insurance inspections, EHO and Fire Officer visits.
- Complete accident investigations when required
- Complete Fire Risk Assessment reviews following a structured plan
- As part of a National HSE team, assisting with the regular review of Health and Safety documentation and helping to develop new policies and systems taking into account new and current legislation, best practice and business needs
- Monitoring Retails performance of Health and Safety through the online management system.
- Flexibility will be required as you will support other areas of the business on occasion
- Delivery of internal training

**What We're Looking For**
- H&S experience within the retail sector preferred
- Hold NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
- Have excellent time management and planning skills as the SME for our Retail stores
- Have strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
- Be self motivated with the ability to work from home 1-2 days per week on average
- Be able to manage their own calendar and be flexible on daily working patterns
- Have good IT proficiency

Occasional travel to DFS Group Support Centre in Doncaster, will be required for meetings and the ability to travel is therefore a requirement of the job.

This field based role will require you to spend time away during the week and some home working. General working pattern will be Monday - Friday with very occasional travel on the weekend. You will be expected to be on call for one weekend in 4 on a rotational basis.

Working hours are 0900 - 1730 with flexibility required due to the nature of the field based role.
