Production Executive

Our Client has an exciting opportunity for a Production Executive to join the Commissioning team.
The Production Executive is managed by the Head of Production/ Senior Production Executive and the role sits within the Commissioning department. They will work closely with the Commissioning team, overseeing all budgetry and production issues relating tocommissioned content across their Channels and digital platforms. The Production Executive will work closely with the Commissioning Editors and support the Head of Production.
**In this role you will get to**:
- Work on their linear and digital content from development to transmission, across all channels
- Negotiate production budgets, manage schedules, following programmes through from the initial development to delivery and international distribution
- Be the point person for suppliers throughout all the stages of the production process.
**They are looking for someone who**:
- Is an experienced Production Executive or Line Producer with an excellent track record of end to end production management of content;
- Has demonstrable knowledge of the commissioning process, having either negotiated programme budgets directly with broadcasters, or has worked for a broadcaster negotiating budgets with production companies;
- Has extensive experience of complex commissioning negotiations, including co-productions and advertiser funded output
**Who you are**:
- A Production Executive who is experienced in working with broadcasters;
- Excellent negotiator and communicator;
- Strong IT skills, including the use of Excel;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Strong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments and services
- Manages multiple projects concurrently requiring excellent organisational skills;
- An understanding of agreements with talent unions and industry bodies and the ability to represent them in discussions;
- An understanding of the regulatory framework in which content creation operates;
- Is a committed and co-operative team player who is able to support other members of the team;
- Able to to harness team spirit and collaborate with colleagues across the business to deliver successful projects;
- Ability to retain focus on long term objectives and also retain a detailed grasp of day-to-day issues;
- An understanding of the need to leverage maximum value from rights ownership;
- An ability to successfully manage a high volume of complex projects concurrently;
- Has up to date technical production knowledge and an understanding of the multi-channel and digital environment;
- Has the ability to take a proactive and flexible approach to work and be comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities;
- Is an excellent negotiator, influencer and relationship manager;
- Has a genuine passion for TV
