Job Summary:
Respond Recruitment are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our care home client. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to the care homes recipes and standards. This will be Monday to Friday, start and finish times: 07:30-15:30.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent quality
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets food safety standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation and service
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Assist in the development of new menu items and specials
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Cook in a care home or similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a wide range of dishes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
