Position Overview

The release assistant role sits within the programme/project team for RLE reporting into the Senior Programme Manager. This role will be integral in supporting the programme/project team with: sprint related department tasks, the execution of EMEA priorities within the global forum and contributing to achieving EMEA's strategic goals by utilising all resources available to deliver positive change.

The release assistant will be responsible for liaising with all business owners to ensure all tickets are tracked and the tech backlog is maintained, published and presented in regular forums. He/She will coordinate and deliver monthly tech releases, oversee any pre-release UAT activities and ensure any issues that arise are escalated as required and a resolution is found.

This role requires some level of ecommerce understanding, strong organisation skills, excellent cross-functional communication and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders of varying levels across the business. Success can be measured in successful, well coordinated releases that reflect business priorities and objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Ownership and maintenance of tech backlog and keeping this prioritised based on business objectives and customer needs.

Monitoring and tracking Jira tickets, escalating to the Senior Programme Manager as and when necessary.

Support with internal communication and distributing team comms on a bi-weekly basis.

Co-ordinating and actioning UAT for monthly releases and supporting with release rollout.

Responsible for distributing post release notes to wider team and tracking post release issues and ensuring a resolution is reached.

Monitoring customer satisfaction, site speed and other KPIs that define the success of ecommerce experience

Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project admin as and when required.

Support limited routine reporting related to ecommerce

Identifies and drives opportunities to improve the RL EMEA websites.
