Barista/all Rounder
**Job Summary**:
**Barista, bar guru and ice cream alchemist**
**Altitude, and Peaks by Altitude**
Altitude is a new, fun, and vibrant coffee and cocktail bar that launched on Cranleigh High Street at the beginning of July. Our sister shop, Peaks by Altitude, is a takeaway soft serve ice cream and dessert parlour located directly next door. All staff are trained to work across both, although the role is predominantly based in Altitude.
The launch of both shops has been extremely successful and we've been busier than we could have expected. As such, we are seeking two new full-time members to join our team. (Barista experience essential)
Please pay specific attention to the job requirements. We have a fabulous team of casual and summer workers already, and are now seeking people for permanent roles only.
Do you love great coffee, great food, and dogs? (We're not just dog-friendly; we're dog-obsessed.) And do you love mountains, trees, and lakes? Themed heavily around nature and the concept of bringing the outside in, Altitude is an instagram-worthy artisan coffee bar serving quality coffees (and alcoholic drinks from 10am) and high-end croissants, breads, pastries and cakes during the daytime. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, our full cocktail and light bite menu is available. Next door, Peaks delivered towering topped ice creams and biscuit sundaes like the 'Oreo Volcano' and 'Biscoff Boulders.' (Staff ice creams are free by the way...)
Your role will be varied. All staff will receive barista training, but you don't just get to practice your latte art. You'll also learn how to make Surrey's best espresso martini and create the ice creams you'll see across Cranleigh High Street throughout the summer.
Barista experience is essential, as are strong communication skills. Most importantly though, is the desire to have fun We are a close team, full of ideas and passion and we are all obsessed with great coffee, great food and great decor. If you love talking to people, are addicted to making everything instagrammable, and want to be part of something amazing from the start, this may well be the place for you.
