A renowned multi-site business, based in London seek a Senior Programme Delivery Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of projects and programmes, with particular focus on the creation of new products and services for customers and new functionalityfrom internal systems.

**Key relationships**:
With business stakeholders, sponsors, Project Managers, end users, and other business support functions.
- Definition of the most effective change programme to achieve the company’s strategic objectives.
- Accountable for delivery of the change programme, providing business leadership and strategic direction.
- Responsible for planning and monitoring the change programme; agreeing plans with the Project Board and submit regular status reports indicating any deviations and corrective action taken.
- Establish internal and external benchmarks and appropriate KPI's as the basis for demonstrating the quality and effectiveness of delivery.
- Accountable for managing risks, issues, changes, and escalations. Determine and implement solutions and mitigating actions where necessary.
- Financial responsibility for project expenditure, including establishing budgets, monitoring spends and re-forecasting on a regular basis to highlight any potential issues.
- Responsible for forming and managing effective relationships with business stakeholders.
- Attract and recruit the right people to work in project delivery while developing and retaining talent.
- Promote a culture of pro-activity, innovation, transparency, collaboration and flexibility in all aspects of project delivery
- Direct and motivate the project team - ensure all team members understand their roles; ensure project objectives and requirements are understood and met.
- Responsible for managing third party suppliers to achieve the desired project outcomes.
- Responsible for the leadership & management of all colleagues who report into this role. This consists of setting clear direction and standards, continuously reviewing performance against expectations, providing motivation & coaching supporting and addressingany gaps in performance
- Strong technical awareness to manage projects with a high degree of technology content.
- Has sufficient credibility and gravitas, and ability to work with and relate to a highly demanding internal client base and complex external supplier base
- Appreciation of how the architecture, policies and governance are applied to delivery of the project.
- Strong financial and cost management. Ranging from; low level detailed cost/spend analysis, benefits realisation, to high level project and programme level spend.

**Skills, abilities & competencies**:

- Excellent stakeholder management skills with significant experience of dealing with internal, external and third-party supplier senior level decision makers.
- Commercial awareness and drive. Strong awareness is required to firmly ground all projects and ensure spend and benefits are constantly tracked and articulated clearly.
- People management and leadership. Experience in dealing with teams of project managers and business analysts and ability provide steer and guide through each stage of the project lifecycle.

**Experience**:

- Expertise in leadership, development, people management and communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering full life cycle large business transformation and technology integration projects from concept through to delivery
- Proven experience of directing & motivating project delivery teams.
- Experience of a recognised project management methodology.
